Student Spotlight: Then and Now

Radical Reptiles!
 
The Ladies of Charity of Mary Mother of God Parish recently provided a Radical Reptile Pittsburgh Zoo presentation for preschool through 8th grade. 
 
Our students loved learning all about these fascinating, cold-blooded creatures!
Keeping our students safe
Our teachers received training from Sight on Scene as part of their in-service training on Monday. Sight on Scene is an app that allows for real-time sharing of information of drills or emergencies at our school as they are occurring. Sight on Scene is designed to ensure our students are as safe a possible by receiving help from first responders as quickly as possible.

We need volunteers for our upcoming events!!
 

Ways we need your help for Fall into Bingo: 

 

- Volunteer your time: click here for the sign up genius for Fall into Bingo.

 

- Donate a raffle basket, or donate items to be included in a raffle basket - our Bingo committee will finish it for you! 

 

- Donate wine or liquor bottles to be included in the mystery wine/spirit raffle 

 

- Donate cases/12 packs of water or pop, individual sized bags of chips, candy bars 

 

- Donate baked goods: We ask that all donations are home-baked. Please know that we will sell portions for $2, so if you are not quite sure what that should look like, don’t cut your cake or brownies or pie - we will help you on the day of. We welcome any treats that are your specialty, your go-to, and/or anything Halloween themed. Things with creamy icing and fruity fillings tend to sell very well!

 

Please donate items by Friday, October 17 (except for bake sale items, which should be brought directly to the event). 

 

- Spread the word! We need families to hand out flyers after masses from now until the event (and also sell Spooktacular lottery tickets, which have been very popular so far!) Click here to sign up!

If you are interested in attending our Parent Teacher Guild, Advisory Council, or Athletics department meetings, they are generally held at 7:00pm:

3rd and 4th grade soccer started the season out strong with a win this past weekend! Great job, team!
